Konto Furniture was founded in central Alberta in 1976, and operates stores in both the north and south ends of Edmonton. We are a locally owned family based business and are always proud to partner with great organizations that provide support in our community. When we were introduced to the Zebra Centre we were shocked to hear about how many children and youth in our community are affected by abuse and trauma and we wanted to help. In 2020, the Zebra Centre supported 2,844 children and youth who have experienced abuse.
The Zebra Child Protection Centre is our community’s response to child abuse. Their multi-disciplinary team of partners is a herd that provides services and support for children and youth who have experienced abuse.

When danger appears, zebras form a protective circle around their young. Part of what makes the Zebra Centre so special is our ability to surround a child with support throughout the entire process. This extra soft plush zebra reminds our community that just like a child's favourite stuffed animal, Zebra Centre will be there every step of the way.
